I was on a short trip this weekend, here is a quick photo of it. Not to sound too cheesy or whatever, but I really love the cute moment that was captured. I’m sure you’re interested in what we’ve been up to but one thing I would rather talk about is my skincare and makeup I took with me. I always like to see that, so I hope you’ll find it interesting too.
Made in Carcere Makep & Skincare Bag* – I love this huge beauty bag! It fits in everything and more. Made by women prisoners in Italy, using exclusively leftover fabrics, recycled material.
Country Comfort Baby Powder – I don’t like washing my hair too often, twice a week is my jam. In between washing I like to use dry powder to sort out my funky aka greasy hair. For the last few months I’ve been using this baby powder and even though I could probably get something better, it still works great and it lasts absolutely ages!
Herbfarmacy Just Eyes Cream* – a lovely eye cream with great ingredients and a light texture that quickly sinks into the skin. Great every day eye cream.
Unique Beauty Lavender Body Wash* – clear shower gel with lavender scent. It doesn’t really foam, it gently cleanses my skin and doesn’t leave it dry. Don’t like that it contains Sodium Coco-Sulfate which some say it’s almost the same as SLS, a harsh ingredient which dries the skin and hair and can cause allergic reactions.
Unique Beauty Lavender Body Lotion* – smells like lavender, has a light consistency and is quickly absorbed into the skin. It’s okay but nothing amazing.
Graydon Clinical Luxury The Putty* – not gonna go into details but this moisturizer is da bomb! Rich and nourishing face cream for sensitive and dry skin. Review here.
Indigo Wild Zum Rub Frankincense & Myrrh – a wonderful product I like to use on my face, lips, nails, neck, elbows, everywhere. I can use this on spots or on dry skin, it is a gorgeous product and a perfect multi-purpose balm!
Balm Balm Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm* – as you could see on my Instagram, I’ve been testing some new products and this one is just one amongst them. You all know I love a good cleansing balm and this one is exactly that. I can’t give you my final thoughts on it because I’m still testing it out, next to the hydrosol and facial oil, but if you’re interested in Balm Balm, you should definitely check out my thoughts on it here.
Balm Balm Organic Frankincense Hydrosol* – a pure frankincense hydrosol made from the steam distillation of frankincense essential oils. Soothing and refreshing.
Balm Balm Frankincense Light Facial Oil* – fuss free facial oil with only six ingredients. It’s lightweight, easily absorbed into the skin and quite lovely, I must say. Review will follow. You can get these products in Via Naturalis, where you can use discount code “jana” to get 10% off your order.
Unique Beauty Colour Care Shampoo* – like the Lavender Body Wash, it also contains Sodium Coco-Sulfate. It’s very runny and doesn’t lather easily. It has a feel of a “stereotypic natural shampoo” and it’s not the nicest one to use, if I’m totally honest. It does the job but it’s not the most luxurious shampoo ever. I wouldn’t buy a full size bottle, that’s for sure.
Unique Beauty Colour Care Conditioner* – not much tosay about this on. It is a light conditioner, which I don’t find enough moisturizing for my colored hair.
Acure Cell Stimulating Facial Mask – one of my favourite deep pore cleansing masks. It is a French green clay based mask and contains lots of amazing ingredients that moisturize my skin and draw out impurities. Love. When I pop a pimple or pick at blackheads I always, always apply this mask on those areas and my skin just feels calmer and I feel like it gets rid of some bacteria this way. Otherwise I would just slather them all around my face when applying facial moisturizer and oil. Wonderful as a night treatment too.
LVX Nail polish 3-in-1 Treatment* and Haze* – I only just started using LVX polishes and my first impression is great! They apply beautifully, they have a great brush, the dry quickly and last for a few days. So far I’m really impressed! Get 10% off of your order with code “Jana” in the chic shop Reina Organics.
Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser* – such a gorgeous cleanser with a beautiful fruity scent! I thought it smells like watermelon but no, it actually smells like strawberries. Yum! It lightly lathers up, it doesn’t dry up my skin and it actually also acts as a quick enzyme exfoliator. Awesome.
Skincare is done, now let’s also do makeup. Hopefully that will go live tomorrow. 🙂
Have you tried any of these products? What do you take with you when you’re going away for a few days?
Love,
Jana xx
